Enterprise Process Change

A primary role of government is to dispense funding from a diverse array of programs to achieve public outcomes. A key challenge is to maintain a consistent and fair process that is efficient in delivering funding, and is not overly burdensome in reporting. A large international department wished to articulate a standard process; to make more efficient and business-like how organizations submitted project funding applications to the department. This project resulted in the development of one common process and one common set of business documents that ensured project and corporate benefits were realized.

The vision of this project was to achieve the organization’s strategic priority of management and program delivery excellence supported by coherent, accessible, standardized, streamlined and consolidated processes, rules and tools.

The goal was to achieve effective enterprise process management, where business lines (owners) were supported in continuously improving and sustaining their business processes.
